Datasets is a series of prints, derived from the Listen to the Stones project. It is a reflection on and a performance of building a dataset.

Hardly any object is as diverse as a stone. No two are ever the same. Stones are not only objects in space but events in time: their materiality, formation and traces suggest an interplay of forces and stories across long durations. Observed from a different angle, a stone reveals new trajectories of its journey.

The series submits each stone to the same procedure and schema, in an effort to build a clean dataset: the same light, the same background. Under this deliberate standardisation, the infinite variety of stones becomes even louder.
